Pool Opening Update
Pool Update
In light of yet another change in policy regarding association pool openings, it appears the state and county governments have modified conditions and are allowing associations to open pools sooner than the original date to move to phase three of the state reopening plan. The requirements of the Governor's "Ad Astra" reopening plan are still "highly recommended" by the Johnson County governing body.

As such, the association intends to open of the pool facility as soon as possible. We are working to implement a few COVID-19 related items (i.e. installation of proper signage, securing disinfectants and equipment, disconnecting of drinking fountains, removal of Association pool furniture, etc.). These efforts are designed to help educate and better protect our membership, however, they require a little time to accomplish.

The pool fully functional by this Saturday, June 6th!

Stay tuned, summer pool season is coming!
Falcon Valley Homes Association
COVID-19 Pool Reopening Process

The Board of Directors of Falcon Valley Homes Association ("FVHA") will be following guidelines illustrated in the State of Kansas "Ad Astra -- A Plan to Reopen Kansas". FVHA will be moving from phase to phase as the State of Kansas and Johnson County governments allow. Members are asked to assist us in abiding by the rules set forth in the reopening document that can found here.

Association pools are restricted from opening until Phase 3.  We will continue to monitor the state and county reopening plans and will make adjustments accordingly. Assuming the state will be transitioning to Phase 3 as scheduled, the earliest we can open the association pool will be:

While the maximum number allowed at the pool facility is strictly limited in the State plan (max. 45 people), Johnson County Environmental has authorized to allow us to calculate a greater number than the State.  Once we have determined this number, it will be posted on the FVHA website and at the gate to the pool.
Other reopening conditions included in Phase 3 are as follows:
·         Maximize social distancing practices
·         Masks are encouraged
·         Frequent hand washing is encouraged
We will keep the community updated on the status of the pool reopening as new information becomes available.
FVHA is implementing some measures to help promote social distance:
·         Daily cleaning and sanitizing the facility (including bathrooms, door handles, chairs, deck, etc.)
·         Drinking fountains will be disconnected (bring your own water)
·         Guests will not be permitted
·         Parties will not be permitted
·         Additional cleaning supplies and soap will be purchased for vendor and member use
·         Members should consider bringing personal disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer etc.
If residents do not work together to comply with the reopening requirements, FVHA reserves the right to close the pool or to take pool privileges away.
